Sinaloa as a region is located within localities with a greater competitive factor at the national level because, with only 2.5% of the nation’s population, it accounts for approximately 5% of the total graduates in computer engineering. Some other important aspects to consider are:
- The geographical location of Sinaloa is very suitable as a nearshore point to serve the markets of the United States and Canada, the largest market in the world in terms of the consumption of products and services of Information Technology: cultural similarity, language and time zone, which allows for better operations control with the clients in North America.
- Government and business institutions are coordinated to promote and support investors and information technology companies.
- One in every two companies in Mexico is certified internationally, and it is located in Sinaloa, with certification centers such as Thompson Prometric and Pearson Vue.
- The three largest cities in the state have IP telephone infrastructure and Broadband: Culiacán, Mazatlán and Los Mochis.
- It has one of the most reliable electricity supply networks in all of Mexico.
- More than 25 thousand students enrolled in IT careers and Information Engineering.
- Careers and academic specialties dedicated to Information Technologies in 110 Universities and 47 higher education centers in the state.
- Of approximately 2,800 graduates annually in Computer Science and Engineering careers, around 50% of them are certified in the leading technology platforms worldwide: JAVA, .NET, SQL, PHP, ABAP, among others.
- There is an annual surplus with respect to the supply and demand of human talent in Computer Science and Engineering careers.
- Competitive costs in salaries and infrastructure.
- A Technology Park with capacity for Landing and turnkey infrastructure.
- Attractive government support for technological infrastructure and technological innovation through Prosoft and CONACYT.
- A base of specialized Contact Centers equipped with state-of-the-art technology, with repetitions in all its services.
